Lost at Fun Town
By Rachel Wilson
Ben and Betty are at Fun Town with Grandma and Grandpa.
It is a beautiful day. There are lots of people.
Hold hands and stay together.
OK, Grandpa.
Everyone chooses their favourite thing.
Ben likes trains.
Betty likes animals.
I want to ride on the mini-train.
And I want to feed the rabbits and the sheep.
Grandma likes ice cream.
She wants to go to the ice cream shop.
Grandpa does not like animals, trains or ice cream.
What do you want to do, Grandpa?
I want to … jump on the trampoline!
Really?
First, they go to the children's zoo.
Grandma buys some food for the animals.
Betty feeds the rabbits and Ben feeds the sheep.
Help!
Your hat is tasty, Ben!
Oh, there's the trampoline!
Suddenly, they cannot see Grandpa. And they cannot call him.
He does not have a mobile phone.
Where's Grandpa?
I don't know.
Let's go to the mini-train. Perhaps he's there.
But Grandpa is not at the mini-train.
Grandma buys the tickets and they ride on the mini-train.
It goes around Fun Town.
They pass the merry-go-round.
Then Betty sees Grandpa near the ice cream shop.
Look! Grandpa is over there!
I can see his blue shirt and white hat.
Come on. Let's go!
Grandma and the children get off the train.
They do not want to lose Grandpa again.
Hi Grandpa … Oh!
Ben, it isn't Grandpa.
Grandpa is old. This man is young.
Let's have an ice cream.
One strawberry, one vanilla and one chocolate, please.
The ice creams are great.
But WHERE is Grandpa?
Then Ben has an idea.
Grandpa doesn't like riding trains, feeding animals or eating ice cream.
He likes …
Jumping!
Oh yes … the trampoline!
At last, they find him.
Grandpa!
Grandpa gets off the trampoline.
Grandma is not happy with him.
Do you remember 'Hold hands and stay together'?
Yes. I'm sorry.
Grandpa buys four tickets for the trampoline.
Everybody jumps.
They jump high—very, very high!
Now the whole family is happy again.
Look at me! I can fly!
Me too!
I love Fun Town!
Hooray!
