Today is my birthday!
By JoAnn Dionne
Today is a sunny day.
Mum and Dad say.
Mum cleans the floor. Dad cleans the door.
Mum washes the pans. Dad opens the cans.
Mum cleans the spoons. Dad blows up the balloons.
Today is a busy day.
Mum and Dad say.
Mum makes a pie. Dad wears a tie.
Mum makes a lot of food. Dad says it looks good.
Cakes, ice cream and jelly. They all look yummy!
Today is a happy day.
Mum and Dad say.
Jay, Kay and Ray all come to play!
We play clapping games.
I like the little cakes.
Yummy!
Today is a special day.
Mum and Dad say.
Today is my birthday! Hooray! Hooray!
Happy birthday!
