*The title "Daisanaja," from the Okinawan language, literally means a person who wears a traditional loincloth but appears sloppy and disheveled. The word is also slang for someone who likes to boast and exaggerate.
*Kamjiaa （カミジャ）- a type of family crest, with the family name printed on a fabric banner. Traditionally it symbolizes a family's wealth and prominence.
*"Agaiemjo" is a family name
*Obon - a celebration worshipping familial ancestors on the 7th month of the lunar new year
*Migusuku: town in Okinawa, now part of Naha City
*Watanji - red light district in Migusuku/ Naha City
