Better than you

So many times it's left me battered and bruised

Disillusioned, in pain, feeling I've been used

I swear I'll give it up, before it downright kills me

Then it comes back again, with promises that thrill me

And I forget what I really should know

And I forget that it's just a big, big show

In democracy

But this one was the worst

How can I turn my back

On democracy?
