Torches

I know somewhere to my left is an undying coast

I think of it in the night, when I know I need it most

I see the way the landscapers upturned by the violence

Are these torches meant to fill the unending silence?

Are these gardens and fields on a stretch of highway？

The bright plain smiling as I'm calling out your name

I do what I want

You won't see me anymore

Your face in my door

Then came the day
