I’ve been searching for

For a place I haven’t been in so long

I’ve been searching for

A replacement for those memories I lost

The’ve faded and gone

I always seem to make myself happy again and then I crash burn

I could be happy one minute then have the maddest turn

Flicking through the news, feeling confused

Man it’s ironic while my mind is on fire

I’m watching the planet burn

Eyes shut

Try and find some inner peace

Everybody wants to eat

But wants a bit more than their piece

Suffocated, everybody try to find a space to breathe

Slow the pace and take a break is what you need

A break is what you need

We met in a place where

Maybe we’re all lost

Just so glad we found this

We are all we’ve got

Time moves so slowly

Staring at the clock

Moments formed these memories

I just forgot

I’m gazing out the window of another plane

Third G&T in hand

Numb again

Man I guess nothings changed

I’m still as reckless as I used to be

Only difference is I learnt to speak about it truthfully

A break is all you need for you to find that place you’re searching for

30 000 feet and over murky waters

Searching through the pictures in your phone

Find that memory that takes you back home
