I sit and watch the children play (我坐下来看着孩子们玩耍)

Smiling faces I can see (我看到了笑嘻嘻的脸庞)

But not for me (但那不是迎接我的)

I sit and watch (我坐着并看着)

As tears go by (直到泪水流逝)

My riches can't buy everything (财富买不到世上的一切)

I want to hear the children sing (我多想听见孩子们的歌唱)

All I hear is the sound (但我听到的是)

Of rain falling on the ground (雨点打在地上的声音)

I sit and watch (我坐着并看着)

As tears go by (直到泪水流逝)
