Take Nothing but Pictures

I will paint you

Masterpieces for your eyes

And I will build you

Towers just so you could see

The valleys in between our lives

We’re clearly half apart

Of everything we hoped and dreamed

We’re clearly half alive

Thank you

For all the

Swimming classes

Late at night

You said it wasn’t good enough

And I really lost my mark

You said it wasn’t good enough

As you trailed down the dark

I painted skies for you my friend

And you could have them all

But now you just betrayed the kind

Of everything we hoped to be

And everything we build together

You and me

For everything that we build just to fall
