September 8th, today I feel insane

Got too many thoughts on my brain

I'mma spill 'em out on the page

Always saying I'm ok, hiding all my pain

The only way to feel better when it hurts

is to put it down in words

I'm a poet and a soldier

go getter and a stoner,

I'm walking bare foot on the city streets

laying awake when everybody sleeps

Little broken when you look closer

best friend and a loner

In my feeling but I've learned to be tough

33 but I'm still growing up

always gonna be

Feels stupid when it's easy

always gotta make it hard

I wanna everyone to see me

but I don't wanna be the star

Always feeling like something missing

I'm a walking contradiction

Find the answers when I write it out

to remind myself
