歌词
Sally's got a brand new bag of tricks
She's got a radio she's been meaning to fix
Sally's got a heart just right for breaking
With a smile so big and bright
it didn't need no faking
When love is young it tastes so sweet
Like a cool kiss in the August summer heat
When love grows old, it's harder to keep
Might not last forever, but never say never
Never say never
Johnny sold his guitar with a broken string
Took the money he got to buy Sally a ring
Swore that he was gonna marry that girl someday
And they'd dance to the very first song
that her radio'd play
When love is young it tastes so sweet
Just like candy to a baby, such a treat
When love grows old, it's harder to keep
Might not last forever, but never say never
Beneath the stars, a golden band
Johnny asked her, would she take his hand
But something's missing
Sally's still sitting,
wishing she could hear a song
And that Johnny had his old guitar
and he could play along
He tied the broken string to the radio
And the static freed the sound of the music
that began to flow
They were dancing
When love is young it tastes so sweet
Like a cool kiss in the August summer heat
When love grows old, it's harder to keep
Might not last forever, but never say never
May last forever, forever and ever
Never say never
