Waiting patiently

For the rain to stop falling

So I can go without chasing after nothing.

Maybe I've gone too long not knowing.

Maybe I forget what I’ve forgotten.

Maybe I’m still right there alongside you

Counting syllables in your room.

While time hides in the mirror

I feel the moment's pleasure

At my memory's failure.

I want to step inside to know a wound.

I want to write a river to be found in blue.

I remember dancing, moving further away

Adrift a little.
