Just Like the Fools We Are

I chose the wrong button

I knew the outcome all along

I knew what I should’ve done

I always realize after it’s done

I shouldn’t have done it

Men can learn, but men can’t defeat bigger pleasure than the pleasure of achievement

At the end of the day, we are nothing but fools

I said, I’d make an oath

That was just yesterday

I broke the oath in just a second

That was right now

It’s not something people told me

It was solely my fault

I’m not making any excuses

And at the same time I won’t learn

Foolishness show in forms of numbers

These numbers increase in less than a second

Just like smoking cigarettes 

I’m addicted

When we starve, we eat

When we’re rich, we spend it all

We are fulfilled and we regret

We are living. This is life

Oaths are just words

They’re like cheap scams

I always realize after it’s done

A guarantee nor witnesses don’t mean a thing

Yes, we never learn

We sleep and forget just like the fools we are

We end up in endless regrets

Can’t count how many times I’ve put myself in this same situation

Repeating the same mistake everyday but I try to ignore it

The numbers show me 

Show my stupid actions

And I’ll repeat it once again

Just like the fool I am
