Studio version just got completed

You know we've played it live for a few years now
For me a personal favorite of the band
I think it's, you know, top three, top two
Again, I love Maynard's vocals
We had some time due find tune the song in a live setting
Which was unique, you know usually things are worked out in the studio
Or maybe rehearsal, you know
Besides maybe Vacant which became Passive, you know
And that song took a radical change in the studio
This song was able to grow and find its likes live
And I think it shows by the time we were ready to record
I think everyone, you know, knew exactly what they were gonna do
This is the new incarnation of the band
Where you have Jeff Friedl on drums
And Matt McJunkins on bass, who also play with me in Ashes Divide
Brought them on a few years ago,
With that project and then kinda pass them over to Maynard
As, you know, Ashes was taking a break and Puscifer was starting up
And they've got this great ability to adapt do the different bands
And the different sounds that those bands have, and run with it
And do what's appropriate, so, I thought that was really cool
And I think it shows in this recording too
The song started out with me plucking around on the keyboard with
My two or three year old son,
I can't remember what age was at the time, but
The melody... kinda pluck it out and quickly hit record
And it became the kinda basis for the song
He probably dropped his sippy cup on the keyboard
And I probably owe him a little publishing for that
