Happiest Fool

i was struck by beauty

i guess i lost my voice

while the other boys

showered charm upon you

and on my way home

the morning came and

the birds were singing and

i found all the words to say

i'm the happiest fool

from the tip of your nose

trickled water and salt

a diamond over your lips

i have to kiss it away

and on my way home

i had to kiss all the raindrops

and i found all the words to say

i'm the happiest fool

i was struck by beauty

i'm the happiest fool
