Waiting, Waiting
Sing By Shayla He
The Lark From the Moon
School is over
so here I wait
For my mother
Who as usual is late
Waiting. waiting
For a disorganized adult
Nothing is more exasperating
Or more difficult
I bet probably could
have crawled home by now
I need a drink
Does chocolate milk come?
from a chocolate cow
It makes you think
oh no all gone
Nothing makes you thirstier
than waiting waiting
Maybe I should have pitched a tent
Pretty soon I will have pneumonia or
an accident
what if she claimed forgot
She said half past two and never showed
What if a lion that escaped from the zoo
Came down the road
I disappear without a clue
And there be nothing anybody could do
oh mom oh mom please hurry mom
It is not easy to stay calm
While waiting waiting
my leg is asleep
my thermo is dry water water
who says that I am too old to cry
Lions are loose and I am stuck
All by myself a sitting duck
Ho hurry up hurry up hurry up mom
It is about time
