歌词
Sun came up again this morning
Must admit I had my doubts
After what I said to you last night
After lying awake all night in an empty bed
After talking to the monkey demon living in my head
Monkey demon heard you laughing
He looks into your eyes through mine
And it's a better thing for you to go away
Cause he uses my mouth to tell you loving lies
And you've never met him so there's nothing there for you to recognize
On the red brick canyon wall I
Wrote myself a little note
So I'll remember when I come through again
The monkey demon he knows just what to do
All except when it comes right down to you
Come along and see the monkey demon
Monkey demon laughing at you
I will even introduce him to you to
He'll be watching all the time and learning how to get it on
And when he's ready he's taking over and I'll be gone
Children, come along and see the monkey demon
Monkey demon laughing at you
