Bedtime Prayer

Now you lie down on your bead

The day's adventures in your head

You yawn and rub your tired eyes

And ask I sing your lullabies

The lights go out, the noises dim

And melt into the nighttime hymn

I join the song that fills the air

And offer up my simple prayer

That you would grow in grace

And grow in power, beauty and humility

That you would know great love

And know some heartbreak

And see how hope will find a way to breathe

That you would sense the nearness of the creator

And you would learn the rhythms of the savior

And come to see his glory everywhere

Oh baby mine

This is my prayer

That you would grow in grace

And grow in power, beauty and humility

That you would know great love

And know some heartbreak

And see how hope will find a way to breathe

That you would sense the nearness of the creator

And you would learn the rhythms of the savior

And come to see his glory everywhere

Oh baby mine

This is my prayer

So now you lie down on your bed

With dreams a'stirring in your head

I close your door, my song is through

Now listen what he sings to you
