My Pinto Kicked Me in the Pants

I was walking around in the old corral

When a silver dollar met my glance

I stooped to take it but I just couldn't make it

'Cause my pinto kicked me in the pants

With that dollar on the ground I was sure as could be

I'd be taking Clara Bella to the dance

Then I leaned over and I wound up in the clover

When my pinto kicked me in the pants

My pinto and I were buddies

But when he struck I never had a chance

I was in Colorado but I landed in Nevada

When my pinto kicked me in the pants

I was singing a song in the old corral

When that dollar put me in a trance

My dreams went dying and I woke up a'flying

When my pinto kicked me in the pants

Oh I wish I hadn't stooped in the old corral

Oh I wish I hadn't taken such a chance

I stooped on Monday and I can't sit down till Sunday

'Cause my pinto kicked me in the pants

My pinto and I were buddies

But when he struck he ruined my romance

And now my Clara Bella's gone and got another fella

'Cause my pinto kicked me in the pants
