Adela

I remember when we met

On the evening of the 14th of September

You weren't over eighteen yet,

Eighteen years is the time we've been together

You told your mum & dad you were staying at a friend's house

Whose parents happened to be miles away from home

This meant you could stay out 'til

Whatever time you thought convenient

In 97 they couldn't reach you on a phone

Adela dela delaila

A hippie surfer with long hair

Wearing flares and always ready for a good time

Falling for the cute school girl

Playing rebel with her friends well passed her bedtime

We talked of art & life

Your bossy older brother

And also about how you loved to ski

I asked you are you sure you fancy me

I can't afford to take you ski

You said don't you worry Leave that up to me.
